1917
Sam spent his days alone in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. Every time he tried to make friends with nearby hikers and campers, they ran away in fear. Sam faced his reality: he was seen as a monster.
1952
Sam ventured out east to discover more of the world. He fell in love with Yellowstone, the Badlands, and the Rocky Mountains. But in order to avoid scaring people, he had to tread carefully.
1979
Storms and natural disasters pushed him to find a new stomping ground down south. Throughout his adventures across forests, woods, and wetlands, one thing remained the same: he was lonely. Until…
2023
One day, Sam stumbled upon Grant Park. Surrounded by gorgeous trees and stunning sunrises, Sam was content with his new spot.
It didn’t take long for a group of local South Milwaukeeans to see him. To his surprise, they didn’t run. They welcomed him with open arms and showed him around the community.
Today
Gone are the days of Sam hiding himself. South Milwaukee has it all—from friendly people, to local businesses, to a big, beautiful park. It’s a community that treats him like family and accepts him for the Sasquatch he is.
